I don’t think there is any chance of any pro-gay stance by the Republican Party this year or in the near future. The problem is that as long as the Republican Party supports the policy of wealth accruing to a very few and the rest of us left to scrounge in any way we can, the Republican Party could come out for full equality for gays, blacks and Latinos and any other group and when we are left to fend for ourselves I have not intention of supporting a Republican.

As Washington Post columnist & editorial staff gay guy Jonathan Capehart explained on MSNBC this week when talking about this poll, if the Republican party adopts a pro-gay position they could pull even with Democrats among gay and lesbian voters.
