I’m glad and happy to see LBHT-Q was well represented-but the fact of the minoirty was not- mminoties of color who is in this country which the majoity are Afro-American gays/msm//LBGT-Q///) “in the life”- who face a wall of prejudice and bias becuse the are black amd gay……

Support for marriage equality is a wonderful thing and having it in a national political party platform is terrific but the missing item which would outshine both support and a platform plank would be an action plan for actually getting marriage equality in place in every state. Where is that action plan? Politicians lend their names to lists of supporters but their action to overturn state constitutional amendments preventing marriage equality is missing. Are they waiting for it to come before the Supreme Court? Where is the GLBT Marriage Equality Civil Rights Act? It’s time to stop patting one another on the back for supporting the right cause and to take action on behalf of that cause because it’s the right thing to do!

Yeah, Jimmy LaSalvia, gay aren’t better off than four years ago when DADT was in place, no president or presidential candidate supported same sex marriage, HIV+ people were banned from entering the country, and the government was actively defending DOMA in court. It must be fun to completely ignore reality.
