LOS ANGELES — A new app just released for the iPhone allows users to find gender-free bathrooms near them.

TranSquat uses geo-location services (GPS) along with the safe2pee directory — launched earlier this year to document trans-safe bathrooms across the country — as well as user-submitted locations. According to the website Queerty, the app is developed by transmasculine programmer, Billy Bolt, who explains on the app’s Facebook page that proceeds will go toward Bolt’s sexual reassignment surgery.
