Oh, I meant to add: Even if WE are not part of the group being disparaged, and even if we don’t even personally KNOW any member of the group beinig disparaged.

Amen! If only we ALL confronted people who pollute the world and diminish humanity with hateful, bigotted, or prejudiced speech about not only gays, but also people of other races, religions (or no religions), abilities, and so on. Such filthy attitudes are not the most natural things in the world, and we need to stop letting the offenders act as if they were.
