GLCCB offers Trans 101 tutorial

By on October 18, 2012

The Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Baltimore will offer a Trans 101 tutorial so that interested parties, friends and allies may learn about trans people and what challenges trans people face in both the LGBTQ community and the community at large.

According to GLCCB Board Member Sharon Brackett, who will present the tutorial and lead the discussion, “Our gender identity is how we see ourselves. Some of us see ourselves as women, some as men, some as a combination of both, some as neither. Some of us have complex identities that may even be fluid and change over time. Everyone has a gender identity. And everyone expresses their gender identity.”

It will take place Oct. 23 at the GLCCB, 2410 Chase St., in Baltimore from 7-8:30 p.m.
