Reel Affirmations kicks off next week

The 21st Reel Affirmations Film Festival starts Thursday night and lasts through Nov. 4.

The festival presents work by and about LGBT people. About 20,000 film lovers are expected for the event.

The festival begins at 7 p.m. with the film “Kiss Me” followed by the film “I Do” at the Carnegie Institution of Science (1530 P St., NW).
