Given that Rubio is looking for a place on the Republican presidential ticket in 2016 (or 2012 if Romney wins), this quite clearly indicates that he believes NOM will continue to be a major factor in Republican politics for that time span and (notwithstanding all the wishful thinking on the gay right) that he can improve his position in the party by pushing anti-gay policies. Same sort of thing Romney did late in his term as Governor of Massachusetts, except that Rubio doesn’t need to do a 180; he’s just dialing up the volume.

Maybe Marco Rubio can engage his Dumbo-size ears as paddles and swim back to Cuba to check on his family’s heritage. He will be better served than he serves the interests of Americans who weren’t sold on his “Me, Me, Me” speech at the Republican convention.
