LAS VEGAS — Teens with lesbian moms have higher grades and report being generally happier in life, according to a new Williams Institute study tracking 78 kids over a period of 26 years.

“These kids were planned and their lesbian mothers were very engaged in parenting,” Nanette Gartrell, principal investigator of the study for the Williams Institute at UCLA, told CBS Las Vegas. “At the end of high school, the teens tell us that they have excellent grades, feel connected to their families and friends and admire their parents.”
