Boy Scouts of America is a private organization. Why does this have to be so complicated to understand? We all take an oath and have to follow the Scout Law. If there are practices and or rules that a particular youth disagrees with, then he should be encouraged to seek out membership in another youth development organization. Also if a Scout is an atheist he can't become an Eagle Scout. We also say the Pledge of Allegiance to chagrin of many I'm sure. Scouting is a wonderful organization why attack them for their beliefs? Shouldn't they be extended the same rights to practice as they choose under the rights of our constitution? I understand and embrace diversity and I believe the best way to illustrate that is not by attacking but rather by acceptance. Which is really what I believe the LGBT community seeks.
