NFL player admonished for ‘faggot’ tweet
CLEVELAND — Cleveland Browns linebacker and former Texas Christian University star player shocked fans this week when he used on his Twitter page anti-gay epithets aimed at followers he disagreed with.
Rookie Tank Carder was unapologetic for calling a follower a “faggot,” later tweeting “I don’t agree with being gay or lesbian at all…” according to gay sports site OutSports, prompting rebukes from across the web, his team and a gay former fellow-TCU football star.
“As a public figure and a representative of both TCU and the NFL, your words have power, especially for young athletes who happen to be gay,” read an open letter to Carder by former TCU linebacker Vince Pryor who set the school’s single game sack record in 1994, after coming out as gay to his teammates. “When I was an athlete at TCU, I lived in fear for many years over what would happen if my coaches or teammates learned that I was gay.”

What do we expect from a guy that makes his living playing football? He could have been more tactful but he’s not. He’s probably rather excited by naked men or boys and making sure you don’t find it out. He’s using the old “be aggressive towards gays and throw them off” approach to deny his own curiosity. Even when he has to face a wall ’cause he’s so excited he tells himself it just can’t be.
He be coming out in five years. Wait and see!.

He means faggot in the sense of idiot or douchebag. It’s not like he’s actually calling the person gay.
