This also protects Christians from being punished for simply holding a different belief, also. That’s where the problem lies for you, isn’t it? Every comment I see from someone on the left speaks loud and clear of the bigotry, small-mindedness and hatefulness that exists with that side.

I don’t know who these dark lords are that you are referring to, but most Christians these days can tell you that this isn’t just a PERCEIVED problem. It is a very real problem. Oh, the anti-Christian bigotry is loud and in full force. This means EVERYONE is entitled to their own beliefs and as long as they are not trying to do harm to another person, they continue to have that freedom. Hmmm…I thought that’s what liberal Democrats wanted. No, I forgot, they only want that for liberal Democrats.

That's just like republicans, creating a "solution" for a perceived "problem" that doesn't exist just to placate their dark lords. Basically, it's a thinly veiled attempt at looking as if they aren't really bigots at heart. It doesn't work. We still know they are.

Creating a measure for a phantom problem? These and those like them are pissed that the removal of DADT went with little to no issue just over a year ago. Back then they were crying that lifting this ban would cause all kinds of problems of which never occurred. They were waiting for that, "I told you so" moment that never came. So in frustration this measure was entered into this appropriations bill so that these nay Sayers can still have their last word. This creates an unnecessary division within the military.

So the language should protect atheists and agnostics from being punished (e.g. having to clean barracks, etc.) if they don’t go to church services when rightwing Xtian commanders try to pressure them into converting by trying to coerce them into going to church services or else.
