This woman was nothing short of phenomenal, and I hope her memory is for many blessings! Many of us (including me) are not fortunate enough to have Jeanne Manfords for mothers (or the paternal equivalent)–thanks, more often than not, to religion–so I hope that those of you who are so fortunate hug them extra hard when you get an opportunity. You really don’t know how lucky you are. Oh, and I assume that that’s her son in the photo. What a handsome man he was (I was clearly born too late)! :-)
