MILFORD, Conn.—Questions about University of Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o’s sexual orientation persist going into the National Football League’s Scouting Combine.

“Teams want to know if Manti Te’o is gay,” NFL commentator Mike Florio said on the Dan Patrick Show on Monday. “I don’t think anyone knows how to solve this dilemma yet.”

Ronaiah Tuiasosopo last month confessed he convinced him he was a woman named Lennay Kekua with whom the linebacker carried a virtual long-distance relationship for three years. He said he convinced Te’o last September that Kekua had died.

The Notre Dame linebacker told Katie Couric after the hoax became public that he is not gay.
