The Bowen McCauley Dance returns to the Kennedy Center (2700 F St., NW) on April 5-6 at 7:30 p.m.

The group, known for its commitment to live music and collaboration, presents newly commissioned works along with some older ones, including “Before the Fall,” “Fire and Air,” “Tableau de Province” and a tribute to the centennial of Stravinsky’s work “Le Sacre du Printemps.” Several of the dancers are openly gay.

After the Saturday performance, there will be a soiree event at the Rooftop Terrace Restaurant in benefit of the Bowen McCauley Dance.
