BUFFALO, N.Y. — The New York Department of Health AIDS Institute granted nearly $250,000 in state funding grants to two western New York agencies that provide LGBT health and human services, Edge on the Net reported this week.

The Pride Center of Western New York Inc. and Gay & Lesbian Youth Services of Western New York Inc. each will receive $123,449 for a one-year contract period beginning in October, the article said.

The grants were among 41 awards totaling approximately $5.2 million to support health and human services for LGBT individuals, families and communities throughout the state, the Edge article said.
