Lumen8Food, part of the Lumen8Anacostia arts festival, runs from Monday to Saturday, July 13. The festival, which ends on Aug. 10, also includes, fashion, art and film events.
Lumen8Anacostia is organized by ARCH Development, a 25-year old non-profit that promotes arts in the community. Lumen8Food kicks off Saturday night from 6:30-8 p.m. with CayBri’s Cupcakery cake decorating workshop at Hive 2.0 (2027 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., S.E.).
There are five other culinary events during the week, including a workshop at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Anacostia Arts Center (1231 Good Hope Rd., S.E.) with Carla Hall from Bravo’s “Top Chef” and ABC’s “The Chew.”
