The Board of Directors of Al Sura Inc. presents “B-Boy Blues: The Play” at the Burke Theater (701 Pennsylvania N.W.) Friday night at 7 p.m.

Adapted from James Earl Hardy’s novel, the play has been praised as the first gay hip-hop love story. Directed by Stanley Bennett Clay, the play won New York’s Downtown Urban Festival’s Audience Award. A special presentation of the play was performed as part of the D.C. Black Theatre Festival in June where it sold out.

Tickets are $36 online and $45 at the door.  For more details and to purchase tickets, visit alsura.org.
