A “Let’s Toast to Re-Elect Delegate Mary Washington” fundraiser will take place on Jan. 4 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Gertrude’s Restaurant, 10 Art Museum Drive, Baltimore 21218. Seasonal fare, a silent auction and music by Darius Scott and the Resolution Jazz Group will be featured. House Speaker Michael Busch will be the special guest.
The auction will include such items as dinner and wine pairings for up to six people arranged by chef John Shields, lunch for four at the Center Club, 2014 Orioles tickets, professional photography services by Marlayna Demond and more.
“This is our fourth annual event at Gertrude’s Restaurant, and it has been a great way to kick off our legislative season with great food, friends and music,” Washington told the Blade.
Washington, one of eight members of Maryland’s LGBT caucus, represents District 43 and is currently serving her first term. The district comprises most of North Central and Northeast Baltimore including such neighborhoods as Charles Village, Waverly, Lauraville, Belvedere, Hampden, Mayfield and Montebello.
