The Kennedy Center (2700 F St., N.W.) presents “Peter and the Starcatcher,” the Tony Award-winning prequel to “Peter Pan.” It opens Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Eisenhower Theater.

The musical, based on the novel “Peter and the Starcatchers” by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, explores Peter Pan’s origins in Neverland. The story focuses on Peter and his friend Molly as they battle pirates and go on an adventure at sea.

Tickets range from $55-$135. The show runs through Feb. 16. For more information, visit kennedy-center.org.
