The Rainbow Theatre Project, a group that brings LGBT-minded theater to the District, presents a staged reading of “Die Mommie Die!” at Source (1835 14th St., N.W.) Monday at 7:30 p.m.
The show tells the story of singer Angela Andrews, who murders her film producer husband with the help of her younger lover, an out-of-work television actor. The story gained cult status in the LGBT community after the movie version, starring Frances Conroy among others, was released. Gay playwright and actor Charles Busch wrote the work.
Admission is free. There will be refreshments available for purchase. For details, visit rainbowtheatreproject.com.
