PORT BOLIVAR, Tex. — Texas authorities continue to investigate the murder of a lesbian couple found dead early on March 7.
Lone Star Q reported a deliveryman found the bodies of Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson in a dumpster outside a convenience store in Port Bolivar.
The newspaper reported the two women left their Houston home on March 5 to drive to nearby Galveston for the city’s annual Mardi Gras celebration. The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend released a composite sketch of a man whom they said was seen driving Cosby’s new 2006 Kia Sorrento.
“What did they do to you to kill my sister,” Jackson’s sister, Lequetia Jackson, told KTRK in Houston.
Authorities continue to investigate whether the killings were a hate crime.
“Equality Texas is deeply saddened by this murder and our hearts and prayers are with Ms. Cosby’s and Ms. Jackson’s family and friends during this difficult time,” said Equality Texas Executive Director Chuck Smith.
