The second installment of a “conversation about same-sex marriage” to be presented by the Keshet and Family Connection (keshetonline.org) will take place on May 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Kol Shalom Synagogue, 9110 Darnestown Rd., Rockville, MD 20850. The previous panel discussion took place in Baltimore last month and was co-presented by JQ Baltimore. Keshet is a national organization that works for the full inclusion of the LGBT community.
The discussion will include the process and experience of same-sex marriages and weddings in the Jewish tradition. The panel will consist of three same-sex couples that have been married, two parents that are in the process of planning a wedding for their daughter and her fiancé, a mom whose daughter was married, and two Rabbi’s: Jonathan Maltzman from Kol Shalom, in Rockville and Laurie Green from Bet Mishpachah in D.C.
The program is free and open to the public. Further information can be found by emailing DCKeshetParents@keshetonline.org.
