We pulled out all the gay for this year’s romance installment of the holiday gift guide.

Sometimes gifts for your gay sweetie can be the hardest on your list. You want something off the beaten path but not too wacky; tender and romantic but not too heteronormative. We looked around and found some great ideas.

Custom-made wine-and-gift baskets from Cork Market (1805 14th St., N.W.) come in a range of sizes and prices.

Another sure-fire winner — lesbian-owned Grassroots Gourmet (104 Rhode Island Ave., N.W.) has many Christmas- and Hanukkah-themed sweets. Sara Fatell’s chocolate mint cookies are one of the shop’s most popular items.
