Capital Pride this week announced headlining performers for next month’s Pride festival, including Carly Rae Jepsen, En Vogue, Wilson Phillips, Amber and Katy Tiz.
They are slated to perform at the Capital Pride concert on Sunday, June 14, on Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., between 1-9 p.m.
“This year’s Capital Pride Concert is shaping up to be an event unlike any other,” said Ryan Bos, Executive Director of the Capital Pride Alliance. “With Carly Rae Jepsen, Wilson Phillips, En Vogue, Amber, and Katy Tiz performing, this concert will be a fitting finale for the 40th anniversary’s flashback theme. We hope that everyone who lives in the national capital region and our visitors will join us for what is sure to be an unforgettable concert!”
Jepsen’s breakout hit “Call Me Maybe” topped the iTunes charts two years ago; En Vogue had a string of R&B hits in the 1990s, including “Free Your Mind”; and Wilson Phillips is celebrating 25 years since their memorable hit “Hold On.”
