The Policy Manager will be responsible for NMAC’s policy and advocacy portfolio. The Policy Manager will work with the Treatment Director to develop and implement NMAC’s policy positions on federal appropriations and authorization legislation related to HIV/AIDS and health disparities. The Manager will monitor, research and outline NMAC’s policy and advocacy positions. The Manager is expected to participate in the Federal AIDS Policy Partnership meetings including committee work and will work directly with the Treatment Director.

This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) activities which NMAC provides to community-based organizations (CBO) funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to deliver effective high impact HIV prevention services and interventions. This position assists in development plans to increase organizational capacity and build sustainable organizational infrastructures that support the HIV prevention continuum. CBA services are provided via information dissemination, information transfer, onsite training, and distance learning (webinar /teleconferencing), through group level or an individualized basis. The Program Associate is responsible for coordination of the Treatment division's capacity building work and programs. Assist in development of programs and support the effective delivery of the division's initiatives. The associate must be knowledgeable on the HIV Care Continuum, High Impact Prevention and HIV treatments.
Conference Meeting Planner General Functions: Coordinates the logistical arrangements for NMAC national conferences as assigned by the Assistant Director of Conferences and Meeting Services.
