Seeking Volunteers for NAMI Helpline in Arlington!
The NAMI Information HelpLine in Arlington seeks volunteers to answer calls from the public. Volunteers provide general mental illness information and make referrals to community resources. Training is provided. Applicants should have a general understanding of mental illness, communicate with understanding and empathy, have good writing skills, and be able to reliably devote four hours a week between 10 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday, for at least four-six months. Especially looking for individuals with personal mental illness experience. People from diverse backgrounds encouraged to apply. Metro accessible; parking provided.
