This matter is absurd and yes joke like. These guys need to understand that you need to uphold civilized behavior whilst in a public place, regardless of it being or not being a gay establishment. Just because the Summer House is Not a gay establishment it does not mean they are anti gay and or do any gay bashing. The drunken behavior of this guy was the cause of this altercation.
My friends and I are proud of who we are and we frequent the Summer House very often and not once have we ever been treated anything but courteously.
Getting overly drunk in public does not give rights to anybody to fling accusations.
When next in Rehoboth Beach, go to the Summer House and you will see for yourselves what a nice friendly family restaurant the Summer House is!

It’s good that the 9th Circuit Court will be issuing their ruling tomorrow. This case has been on the table for a long time, and the Californian people have been anxcious about its outcome. Regardless of how one may feel about the constitutionality of prop. 8, the likely ruling is that it will not stand. Marriage right for gay people will.

Hope they find who the person is – wonder if it was a jilted lover or a man trying to pick up women…

I find it almost unbelievable that this executive order could require federal contractors to provide domestic partner health benefits. The federal government doesn’t provide domestic partner health benefits, and house republicans are spending several million dollars to keep that policy in place.
What am I missing?

Thanks for this report, Chris. This is a terrific initiative/ proposed directive. It shows how the Obama Administration, even with a decidedly unfriendly House of Representatives, can positively impact LGBT employees of both large and small businesses– all across the country.

Owners of businesses– again, whether large or small, having or seeking federal contracts are already well-aware of civil rights/ non-discrimination protections and practices encouraged and mandated by Uncle Sam, no matter the politics of the states in which they they are located. A LGBT-related directive will simply ADD, affirmatively, and rather quietly, to the “civil rights consciousness” of all federal contractors to include their LGBT employees in their non-discriminatory best practices.

I happen to know that’s especially important in more conservative, “red” states (like Virginia), which have next to no state and local LGBT civil rights protections at all. LGBTs and other minorities are paying attention in the Obama “swing” states, too– and they very much appreciate the president’s proactive stance. Every little bit helps– especially for employees of federal contractors in less-urban locales.

Let’s hope President Obama issues that executive order!

Ron Paul has a legitimate chance to win Minnesota and should finish with respectable numbers in Colorado & Missouri. If he doesn’t win the republican nomination, which I admit is unlikely, I truly hope he runs 3rd party. Some people say that will make Obama a shoe in but even if that is true, there’s really no difference between him and Romney anyways. When you are asked to perform in the biggest sports event like Superbowl, it does mean something big. Britney Spears, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and many other bestselling female artists have the highest respect for her and vocally say so. In the music industry, she is still powerful. She is a very hardworking person. Lots of hate and love for her during the last almost 3 decades in her career. Come 2012, she is still a force out there making lots of people enjoy whatever she brings out. Never underestimate the power of Madonna. Is she still relevant?
