The Washington Blade hosted a Rehoboth summer kick-off reception last weekend. Several gay Rehoboth regulars showed up including partners Marvin Miller and Dan Kyle, Camp Rehoboth photographer Tony Burns, Realtor Chris Riss and more.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.

The annual fantasy, comics and science fiction convention Awesome Con was held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on March 13-15. Featured guests included openly gay actor, author and activist, George Takei. The convention included LGBTQ panels and a “Pride Alley” with LGBTQ-specific booths in the exhibit hall.
