Local singer/songwriter Tom Goss married his partner of five years, Michael Briggs, last weekend in a Quaker ceremony at the Northern Virginia mini-golf course where Goss had proposed two years earlier.

Guests perched on a hill overlooking the 10th hole to watch the couple walk arm-in-arm down the green as Goss’s popular song, “Lover,” played over the speakers.

Goss and Briggs were surrounded by more than 100 friends, family members and fans as they exchanged vows. The wedding party then moved to St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Northwest Washington for a legally recognized wedding ceremony followed by a reception.
