Courtney Love is a trashy homophobe
As if the world needed more proof that singer Courtney Love is a trashy, vulgar has-been, she took to the stage in Brazil last night and flipped out after someone in the crowd held up a picture of her ex Kurt Cobain.
After a profane outburst, she stormed off the stage. Shortly after, a band member took the microphone and announced that Love would only return after the crowd chanted, “Foo Fighters are gay,” using the word “gay” as a pejorative to describe the band created by former members of Nirvana.
Watch the video (NSFW).
Love’s a self-professed drug addict whose own daughter filed suit seeking emancipation from her. She will do anything for attention, clearly aware that the world has moved on from her sad, desperate antics. But turning to homophobic chants during concerts represents yet another low for Love. She should retire and disappear.

Compared to the Penn State fiasco, which I must admit you eloquently wrote about recently, Love doesn’t even register on the care-o-meter. With all the problems in the world, why waste your time with such trifling tidbits?

Maybe not for you, but for me it’s disgusting to see this trashbag throw slurs around when it was queers who were such a huge part of her fan base. Truly, I don’t care if she gets hit by a bus, but that doesnt mean she should be such a thoughtless twat

I would like to suggest that Love was not the one who asked her audience members to use the word gay. It was one of her band members. I recall Courtney Love very into women and gays/lesbians.

I’m sorry, but this is complete and utter bullshit, and typical of all the horribly slanted anti-Courtney news media. I swear that you news sources and journalists have made an art of twisting every aspect of her life to make her look as bad as you possibly can. She may not be an angel, but she’s not half as wretched as the mainstream media would like you to believe, and she is definitely not a homophobe. For one, it was a band member of hers who brought up the “Foo Fighters are gay” thing and for two, she has been an outspoken proponent for gay rights since her earliest days with Hole back in the ’90s. Hell, I remember she won a fashion award on VH1 once and instead of using her acceptance speech to talk about fashion, she related it to being true to yourself and ended up making her entire speech about how wrong it was for society to keep gays in the closet with its attitudes. Also: she was raised by drag queens when she was a teenager; had a short-lived MARRIAGE to a drag queen; her stepfather is gay; her main drummer in Hole was a lesbian; a great majority of her fans are gay men; she voted against Prop. 8; she had a purported lesbian fling with Kate Moss; and she is friends with countless gay celebrities and artists. On top of that, she’s borderline-androgynous and sometimes herself looks like a drag queen with a guitar. All that in consideration, I don’t know how anybody could conclude that she’s a homophobe from one stupid comment that she didn’t even make. She’s not. Courtney Love is like a walking magnet for homosexuality, and this article is horribly misleading.
