PFLAG testifies against bullying
By Steve Charing on November 23, 2012
Members of the Howard County chapter of PFLAG testified on Nov. 19 in favor of a Howard County Council resolution introduced by Council member Courtney Watson regarding bullying, harassment and intimidation. The resolution encourages the Maryland General Assembly to provide resources to appropriate agencies that work with young people to allow them to establish interdisciplinary teams in each jurisdiction to address these issues.

Please check out my anti-bullying music video that has gone viral- “My Song for Taylor Swift.” In the first 4 weeks it has been seen in 100 countries around the world. With a cast of over 150, the video is a heartwarming tribute to my favorite artist! I was inspired to write this song when sitting in the front row of Taylor’s “Speak Now” concert- to honor Taylor because she is such an amazing person. I was also inspired by how even Taylor was the victim of bullying, but she overcame it and did not let it stop her from pursuing her dreams. I am a national spokesperson for an anti-bullying organization, and the video also empowers kids to speak up when they see bullying, to be a friend to someone who is being bullied. Please check out the video on itunes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPR_-zDMD8A. I am donating 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of the song to a4kclub.org. My songs are available on iTunes and Amazon. If you like it, please share it with your friends- I want it to help as many kids as possible. Thank you! Love, Jolie
