The Equality Maryland board of directors and staff recently crafted a three-year strategic plan. The plan is a roadmap for LGBT equality and justice, which focuses on “the intersections of the lives as LGBT and as military personnel, as people of color, as immigrants, as we age, as we are HIV+, as we attend school, and as we are persons with disabilities,” according to an email message to supporters.

The message goes on to state that “the next chapter of Equality Maryland’s work is about the “and” of our lives.” It will be developing educational, advocacy and outreach initiatives that speak to the range of communities LGBT people live within and highlighting the diversity in the community.
