LGBT activist Jay Michaelson speaks about LGBT social justice and religious life in America at Adas Israel Congregation (2850 Quebec St., N.W.) Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Michaelson draws from his best-selling book “God vs. Gay? The Religious Case for Equality” to address religious tolerance and compassion in 21st century religion, Jewish cases for LGBT equality and shifting views on LGBT social justice. Michaelson is the author of five books and 200 articles focusing on sexuality, religion and law. He has been featured on CNN, NPR and in the New York Times.
