Two arrested after handcuffing themselves to White House fence
A rally and protest against ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ were held in downtown D.C. on Thursday. The rally at Freedom Plaza was coordinated by the Human Rights Campaign and featured comedian Kathy Griffin, among other speakers. A protest march continued from the plaza to the White House.
U.S. Army Lt. Dan Choi and Jim Pietrangelo, a former Army captain who was discharged in 2004 for being gay, were arrested after the two handcuffed themselves to the White House fence.

Impulse Group DC held “10’s Across the Board: A Celebration of 10 Years” at Bravo Bravo (1001 Connecticut Ave., N.W.) on Sunday, Dec. 14. Impulse Group DC is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) and affinity group of AIDS Healthcare Foundation dedicated “to engaging, supporting, and connecting gay men” through culturally relevant health and advocacy work.
