Service and social organization honors Kameny, Mariner and Dennis
The Imperial Court of Washington, D.C. held their inaugural gala on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Four Points Sheraton. Amid the pomp and ceremony, the service and entertainment organization honored LGBT rights pioneer Frank Kameny, DC Center Executive Director David Mariner and Mame Dennis (Carl Rizzi).

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
