The Gay Softball World Series held their first event at the Fairgrounds near Nationals Stadium
The North American Gay Amateur Athletic Allliance’s Gay Softball World Series Opening Ceremony was held at the Fairgrounds near Nationals Stadium on Aug. 26, 2013. The event was emceed by James and Jaymes from “The Amazing Race” with entertainment provided by DJ Seth Cooper, drag performer Destiny B. Childs and recording artist Esera Tuaolo.

Impulse Group DC held “10’s Across the Board: A Celebration of 10 Years” at Bravo Bravo (1001 Connecticut Ave., N.W.) on Sunday, Dec. 14. Impulse Group DC is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) and affinity group of AIDS Healthcare Foundation dedicated “to engaging, supporting, and connecting gay men” through culturally relevant health and advocacy work.
