The Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute held its International LGBT Leaders Conference Opening Reception at the Washington Hilton on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016. Speakers included U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro and U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Thomas Perez. Entertainment was provided by Batalá Washington.

Drag artists perform for crowds in towns across Virginia. The photographer follows Gerryatrick, Shenandoah, Climaxx, Emerald Envy among others over eight months as they perform at venues in the Virginia towns of Staunton, Harrisonburg and Fredericksburg.
