The Columbia-Howard County chapter will present the film “Trans” on Nov. 12 as part of its monthly meeting. Released in 2012, “Trans” is a documentary feature that takes viewers on a journey into the transgender world through personal narratives, real life experiences, emotions and stories that have changed lives and will change lives. The film was made to raise awareness of transgender issues.
Inspired by the story of Dr. Christine McGinn and her work as a transgender surgeon, “Trans” provides an up-close and very personal vision into the lives of a diverse cast of characters.
Mark Schoen, producer of “Trans” will be present to discuss the film. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way in Columbia. All PFLAG meetings are free, open to the public and confidential.
