Local gays and same-sex couples celebrated Easter this week at JR.’s and the White House. On April 4, JR.’s hosted its 25th annual Easter bonnet contest, where participants were judged on their intricately detailed headgear. On April 5, families headed by same-sex couples joined the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll. Among the participants were Jacky Kaplan and Anna Perkins, who cheered on their son, David Kaplan-Perkins, as he rolled his egg to the finish line.
