The Capital Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CAGLCC) held its annual awards dinner at the Park Hyatt on Friday, April 8. Awardees included Dr. Dana Beyer, Paul Ludeman and Glen Ackerman, as well as Kim Rosenberg and Meghann Novinskie of Mixology DC, Randy Griffin of Marriott International and Michael Kahn of the Shakespeare Theatre Company. Entertainment was provided by local singer/songwriter Peter Fox.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
