Washington Performing Arts presents the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Music Center at Strathmore (10701 Rockville Pike., North Bethesda, Md.) on Monday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.

Conductor Yannick Nezet-Seguin will lead the orchestra. They will perform Georges Bizet’s “Carmen Suite No. 1”, Henri Vieuxtemps’ “Violin Concerto No. 4” and Igor Stravinsky’s “The Firebird.” Nezet-Seguin is out and has spoken openly of being gay. Tickets range from $45-120.
