LOGO has greenlit the first dating reality show with an all-gay cast.
According to Variety, “Finding Prince Charming” will feature a cast of 13 gay men competing for the affection of the “nation’s most eligible gay heartthrob.” Contestants will live together while the suitor eliminates someone each week in a “The Bachelor” type format. The final man standing will be the one to “commit to an exclusive relationship.” Lance Bass is on board to host.
TMZ reports interior designer Robert Sepúlveda Jr. will be the first “bachelor.” Sepúlveda is a Puerto Rican native living in Atlanta.
“Logo has a long history of showcasing LGBTQ-focused stories with memorable characters that transcend pop culture,” Pamela Post, SVP of original programming for Logo, said in a statement. “’Finding Prince Charming’ will take viewers on a whirlwind journey through modern love and relationships in a way that only Logo can do.”
The show is currently filming in Los Angeles. It’s scheduled to air this fall.
