Pride season continues

The fifth annual Hagerstown Pride Celebration is Saturday, July 16 from noon-6 p.m. on S Potomac Street in Hagerstown, Md. An hour before the celebration, Veritas (32 N. Mulberry Street, Suite 113, Hagerstown, Md.) will host the second annual Interfaith Pride Service. The afternoon will be full of performances and drag shows with a keynote speech from Jim Slattery, president of D.C.-based LGBT non-profit Brother, Help Thyself. Baltimore Pride week is July 19-24 and includes a parade and block party on Saturday, July 23 from 2-10 p.m. on Charles and Eager streets and a festival on Sunday, July 24 from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. in Druid Hill Park. Shenandoah Valley Pride celebrates diversity in Court Square (downtown Harrisonburg, Va.) from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.
