Athletes from across the nation came to D.C. for flag football

Athletes from across the country came to Washington, D.C. over the weekend to compete in the flag football Gay Bowl XVI. Games were held at the National Polo Fields and West Potomac Park. Nightlife events were held at Nellie’s Sports Bar, Town Danceboutique and other venues throughout the weekend.

Denali (@denalifoxx) of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” performed at Pitchers DC on April 9 for the Thirst Trap Thursday drag show. Other performers included Cake Pop!, Brooke N Hymen, Stacy Monique-Max and Silver Ware Sidora.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
