Fifth annual District Improv Festival is Sept. 6-9

The fifth annual District Improv Festival featuring LGBT comedy troupe Ugh is at Source (1845 14th St., N.W.) Sept. 6-9.

Groups performing are from all over the D.C. area, the United States and Canada. Performing teams also include the all women troupe Wicked City, all-black team Baltimore’s Minority Re’port, and Sabado Picante who will perform an all-Spanish telenovela. Cast members attending will be Chris Red, John Thibodeaux, Shantira Jackson, Dewayne Perkins, Torian Miller, among others. Ticket prices vary and some shows are free. Ugh performs on Friday, Sept. 8 from 9:30-11:30 p.m. along with King Bee and TwoSon. Tickets are $12.
