Samuel L. Jackson came under fire after he sent a birthday tweet for President Donald Trump that some people felt was homophobic.

“Must have been a party at The White House, Mitch, Paul, Rudy & others were spotted wearing knee pads & carrying these lined up outside. Happy Birthday,” Jackson captioned a photo of the product After Dick mints. The mints’ tagline is “Going down?”

Page Six reports that “Firefly” actor Adam Baldwin responded in a since-deleted tweet “Gay shaming?” Another person tweeted “Did you and Joy Reid get hacked by the same person?” and another user alerted Capital One of the tweet. Jackson serves as the bank’s spokesperson.

Jackson posted on Instagram that his tweet had been reported to Twitter but didn’t appear to regret it.

Other people supported Jackson with one person commenting on Instagram “Some folks were in their feelings…tell them to build a bridge and get over it!!!” and another writing “I bet it’s Trump reporting you, lmfao.”
