Clip of Billy Eichner’s voice dubbed over ‘Captain America’ goes viral

The tweet even got the attention of Chris Evans himself

A clip from “Captain America: Civil War” dubbed with the voice of Billy Eichner has gone viral.

Twitter user @homeisarealsong posted the clip captioned, “it’s midnight and i’m tired so i made this.”

In the clip, Captain America, played by Chris Evans, is seen running off into battle. Eichner’s voice is dubbed in saying “Let’s go, lesbians! Let’s go! Here we go lesbians. Here we go lesbians, come on.”

The dub comes from Eichner’s show “Billy on the Street” from a segment titled “Lesbian Lightening Round.”

The dubbed clip received more than one million views including from Eichner himself who brought the video to Evans’ attention.

“Hey @ChrisEvans this is what happened when someone put audio from Billy on the Street into Captain America,” Eichner tweeted.

Evans responded tweeting back, “That’s exactly what I was going for in that moment. I’m glad someone picked up on my inner monologue.”

The LGBTQ organization Lambda Legal held its annual “Lambda Legal in the Pines” fundraiser on Saturday, July 25. The event was held at a house on Fire Island featured in Ryan Murphy’s 2014 HBO film, “The Normal Heart.”

Organizers say over $500,000 was raised to support Lambda Legal’s national litigation and advocacy work.
