Cis-gender actor Diego Luna portrays a transgender woman in the upcoming film “Berlin, I Love You.”

“Berlin, I Love You” is the latest installment in the Cities of Love franchise. The film follows 10 different love stories set against the backdrop of Berlin, Germany. Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, Hayden Panettiere, Jim Sturgess, and Dianna Agron are among some of the heavy-hitter names featured in the cast.

NewNowNext first reported that a since-deleted clip from the film had been released. In the scene, Luna portrays an unnamed transgender woman who comes across a young man (Michelangelo Fortuzzi).

“I wanna know how it feels to kiss a man,” the man says.

Luna’s character replies: “Technically, right now you’re in front of a woman. It’s not gonna work.”

“Yeah, but you’re a man,” he insists.

“It’s a little more complicated than that,” Luna’s character says.

“Berlin, I Love You” hits theaters in New York and Los Angeles on Feb. 8.
