Smithsonian observs International Family Equality Day

The DC Center for the LGBTQ Community, SMYAL and Rainbow Families sponsored Gay Day at the Zoo on Sunday at the Smithsonian National Zoo. The Smithsonian observed International Family Equality Day with special exhibits and an event space.

The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington and the GenOUT Youth Chorus performed “Passports” at the Lincoln Theatre on March 15-16. Visit gmcw.org for information on future shows and events.

The March for Drag was held on Saturday, March 8. Local drag artists and supporters gathered at Washington Circle for a rally to advocate for trans rights, queer art, artistic expression and free speech. Participants then marched to the Kennedy Center.
