In the Streets Productions presents “The Femme Show” with cast members Maggie Cee, Amy Rain, Rachel Kahn and Geppetta with local gests Velvet Kensington of the D.C. Gurly Show and Miasa Dances tonight (Friday) at the D.C. Center (1318 U St., N.W.) at 8 p.m.

Seen on Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors Tour” and many college campus, “Femme” is queer art for queer people showing a different perspective on femininity, gender, queerness and sexuality through dance, burlesque, drag, puppets and more.

Some of the featured pieces include “I Wish I Was Him,” with Cee yearning to be a drag queen and a puppet-cabaret performance by Geppetta.

Tickets are $10 at the door.
